Knitting Oblique Waves
There are a variety of stitches in common use which
simulate either horizontal or vertical waves.
This pattern simulates oblique waves, suitable for
representing the surface of water.
In the graph, blank squares are knit on the right side,
while dots are purled on the right side.
The pattern repeat is 20 stitches wide, 4 rows high.
Several vertical repeats are shown for clarity.
