Categories:The terminology and chart symbols are fairly standard.
Here are some definitions that are used in these patterns:
cent dbl inc (central double increase):
k in front and back of next st, then knit into the vertical bar between the
sts just knitted
dec5 (decrease from 5 sts down to 1 on front of work):
sl next 3 sts, pass 2nd st on rt ndl over first,
sl 1 st back to left ndl, pass 2nd st on left ndl
over first, sl 1 st to rt ndl, pass 2nd st on rt ndl
over first, sl 1 st back to left ndl, pass 2nd st on
left ndl over first, k the central stitch which
now remains from the central 5 sts
dec5b (decrease from 5 sts down to 1 on back of work):
same as dec5, except that at the end, k the central stitch
which now remains from the central 5 sts
dec7 (decrease from 7 sts down to 1 on front of work):
sl next 4 sts, pass 2nd st on rt ndl over first,
sl 1 st back to left ndl, pass 2nd st on left ndl
over first, sl 1 st to rt ndl, pass 2nd st on rt ndl
over first, sl 1 st back to left ndl, pass 2nd st on
left ndl over first, sl 1 st to rt ndl, pass 2nd st on
rt ndl over first, sl 1 st back to left ndl, pass 2nd
st on left ndl over first, p the central stitch which
now remains from the central 7 sts
dec7b (decrease from 7 sts down to 1 on back of work):
same as dec7, except that at the end, k the central stitch
which now remains from the central 7 sts
m1 (make 1):
Left running thread before the next st, place on left ndl,
and knit into the back of the running thread
sl2-k1-p2so:
slip the next two stitches as if to knit 2 tog, k1, pass the
two slipped stitches over the stitch just knitted
